Your Mind is Your Own
Therapy for individuals with OCD, PTSD, or both. My goal is to empower clients to understand their inner world, have agency and clarity over the processes that keep them stuck, and engage in active recovery that brings joy back into the things they love most.
Our Services
Individual Therapy
I’m glad you’ve found your way here. Individual therapy can be a great way to learn more about yourself, including what you value, what you want out of life, and what might be standing in your way. I aim to clarify what you are struggling with so we can work together to set goals, improve your current day-to-day functioning, and heal old patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I use EMDR and Ego States Therapy for Trauma, and MCT and I-CBT for OCD. I believe in following evidence-based models when crafting your treatment plan, but each approach will be individualized to the client in front of me. I want to know what has worked in the past, and I want to know even more what hasn’t. Your experience and your story are, by far, the most important pieces of the puzzle.
Family Support
Let’s face it. It’s not always easy to know how to support someone struggling with OCD and/or PTSD. I offer sessions to family members aimed at helping them better support you on your healing journey. These sessions can be done with you and your partner, parent, loved one or your supportive person can come in on their own to learn more about you and how to support you as you go through this therapy process.
OCD/PTSD Consultation
I offer consultation for OCD cases, PTSD cases, and OCD/PTSD comorbid cases. These conditions can often overlap and one can exacerbate the other, blocking processing that needs to happen for recovery. As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, I can walk you through how to use EMDR for complex trauma and attachment trauma, how to integrate Ego States work into your EMDR practice, and identify when other factors, such as moral injury and toxic shame may be influencing and affecting your work with clients. For OCD, I can guide you through I-CBT and MCT, including when to introduce concepts to clients and identifying sticking points. Lastly, I’m interested in your process as a therapist and how that impacts the therapeutic relationship. We are therapists second and humans first. Let’s look at how I can best support you as you do the vulnerable work of helping other humans heal.
About our company
Fuller Mind Counseling was developed in 2019. The name originated from the idea that I needed to fill up my mind with as much information as possible. I was intensely afraid to forget things, and saying “I don’t know” felt wrong and shameful. I thought that increasing my confidence, as a human and as a therapist required gathering more and more information. And while I have completed numerous trainings since 2019 and increased my therapeutic knowledge, the thing that helped the most was learning how to use the information that was already available to me and trust myself to wade through the sticky, hard parts of therapy and use everything that happened as a learning experience. Now, I aim to help others with the same thing. Whether you are a client or consultee, helping you understand your process and how to trust yourself are my two main goals. By acquiring skill in these areas, you can live life more confidently and assuredly.
